At APCO we are dedicated to creating and sustaining customer relationships

APCO Electric began business in early 2000 as a family-owned and operated electrical contracting firm in Arvada, Colorado. Over the years, APCO has successfully completed a variety of projects ranging from single family dwellings to 120-room hotels, small neighborhood eateries to large fine dining establishments, and even small dentist offices to spine surgical centers. Sara Jensen

Sara Jensen currently serves as the President of APCO Electric. Sara is a Colorado native and has been involved in the company since its inception when she used to help her Dad (Ken) in the field while finishing school. Being involved in the electrical field early on served as an invaluable experience for her current role. Sara served as the Vice President and Office Manager from 2007 through 2018. During this time, she handled accounting, human resources, marketing, and project support for both from initial project startup through completion. In her current role, Sara is responsible for the company’s financial management, operations, human resources and administrative departments. Sara is also engaged in business development and guiding the strategic direction of the company. In addition, Sara aids in employee development by guiding apprentices through the apprenticeship training program and serving as the co-chair of the safety committee. Sara earned both a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Denver. Sara is not only passionate about achieving her own goals, she loves encouraging and enabling others to achieve their own ambitions as well. Sara enjoys spending time outdoors shooting, hunting, fishing and camping with her family and friends.

Richard Delgado

Richard Delgado is a Master Electrician and currently serves as a Vice President of APCO Electric. Richard has over 15 years of electrical experience and began his career as an apprentice with APCO Electric. Richard completed the electrical program at Red Rocks Community College and went on to teach residential and commercial installation classes for the school. After earning his Colorado Journeyman license, Richard worked his way up to Lead Foreman and eventually Lead Estimator. In his present role, Richard is involved in business development, preconstruction, estimating and project management. With integrity and passion, Richard works hard to provide clients balanced and thoughtful project proposals and takes personal accountability from the project startup through completion. Richard has extensive experience in historic renovations, restaurants, tenant improvements, ground-up hotels and renovations, marijuana grows and breweries. Richard is well respected amongst employees due to his thoughtful mentorship and respectful demeanor. He serves as a great example to current and future electricians what you can achieve if you stick to it and work hard!

VICE PRESIDENT

Sam Gluck

Sam Gluck is a Master Electrician with over 25 years of electrical experience and currently serves as a Vice President at APCO Electric. Sam completed his apprenticeship training through IECRM, an accredited trade organization, where he continued on to become an instructor. Sam appreciates what accredited schooling provides for the next generation of craftsmen, as he has held a Colorado Masters license since 1998. Sam is involved in business development, estimating and project management, as well as recruiting and staff development. As a 2nd generation professional electrician, Sam has developed an extensive portfolio of clients in the public, and private sectors. Developed clients span all industries and across multiple verticals, and have included companies such as Vestas Wind Blade Plant Windsor, UQM Technologies, Premier Manufacturing, City of Aurora Water, Colorado School of Mines, Noffsinger Mfg., ESCO of Colorado HVAC Projects, Buckley Air Force Base projects, Fiore & Sons, Corporex, Hyatt Hotels, Len Lyall Chevrolet, and many more. Sam specializes in design-build projects in which he can connect with the client and deliver a custom-tailored product. Sam is an avid business networker within the electrical industry, serving on IEC Veterans Committee (US Navy Veteran) and Boy Scouts of America committees. As an active sportsman/hunter/conservationist, Sam has served as a volunteer for DU. Sam is a lifelong Colorado resident raised between Leadville and Longmont, attending college in Greeley (UNC) and Boulder (CU) as a student athlete.

OFFICE MANAGER

Kayla Walton

Kayla started with APCO in 2022 as the office admin and was quickly promoted to the office manager. Prior to joining APCO, she had 12+ years of manager experience along with running her own business, which she feels provided skills where she can simultaneously manage various tasks. With a keen eye for details, her responsibilities include overseeing the electrical apprentice program, human resource, workplace safety, bookkeeping, accounting, and assisting with day-to-day administration operations. Needless to say, she enjoys wearing many hats at APCO. Kayla graduated from the IECRM Emerging Leader program in 2024, during which she underwent skills development, networking, leadership growth, and project development. Her commitment to providing exceptional project support to the office and field staff helps APCO create and build a better business.

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Lindsey Zink

Lindsey joined APCO in 2023 as an administrative assistant. Some of her primary responsibilities include accounting, bookkeeping, clerical tasks, and managing vehicle operations. Before joining APCO she ran her own business for eight years in the beauty industry. Lindsey loves being challenged and learning new things. Since coming over to APCO she values the culture that our company represents. It is the heartbeat of this company and what sets us apart from the others. When Lindsey is not at work she enjoys traveling, driving her muscle car, and going to the mountains
